Staying at the Irish Cottage Boutique Hotel and having dinner in one evening, breakfast then drinks one night in Frank O’ Dowds Irish Pub ..all in all it was excellent. The waiter who served us barely talked. When we asked what he recommended he said one word. Felt rushed! He stood there while I was getting my card out to pay. The fish and chips were very average. The place was disappointing and wouldn’t go back View all feedback.

Great atmosphere and decor, good food and good service. I’m no food connoisseur, but seemed to have some pretty authentic and unique Irish dishes. For many years, my husband and I frequently dined in Galena. As we drive by Frank O’Dowd’s, we occasionally comment that we should stop in and try it sometime. Finally today we did and we were met with charming atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and a delicious and varied menu. The food was perfect! Can’t wait to go back.
