A classic in the area. Super good friday fish fry. They used to give out free rolls with din din but now they scammin us. Service is slow even when there’s nobody here (like the last time I went). Food is ok. Certain things are better than others. Currently silver dollar has better chicken wings (by a landslide; get the Nashville hot there). Fred’s might have better pizza. View all feedback.

Waitress offers choices but does not tell you that everything is extra. Did not order bread and butter, assuming it was part of meal, only to find out each bread roll was 50 cents and butter is $2.00. waitress asked what you choice for side with burger, did not tell you everything is menu priced. Absolutely love this gem of northern Michigan. Great pizza and calzones and their burgers are delicious.
Great place! The hungarian mushroom soup was stellar. Pizza was fantastic. Nice up north atmosphere, wonderful service! We’ll be back.
Service was terrible and they weren't that busy. We had to ask another waitress twice to get our waitress for us. The food was just ok. My husband ordered pulled pork and it was all fat so he sent it back. He got 3 pieces of cod instead. They were the size of chicken nuggets, NOT worth the price. I wouldn't return.

We used Fred’s to cater our family reunion. All the food was fantastic (we had salmon, Traverse City chicken, roasted potatoes, Michigan salad and mixed seasonal veggies. The delivery and setup service was great. Side note we started dipping the leftover roasted potatoes in the ranch dressing oh my so good! Glad we went to Freds for our catering.
