However, our server let our water glasses go... read more On a Saturday night at Oma's, there were plenty of empty tables. The staff was pleasant, and the host was friendly. However, our server let our water glasses go empty twice during our salt-heavy meals, despite us needing to stay hydrated after walking around Frankenmuth. The waitress largely ignored us. On the positive side, the chicken from the menu was absolutely delicious! The vegetables were well-seasoned and nicely cooked, and the fries were good as well. Unfortunately, the brisket sandwich was disappointing—the two strips of bacon overshadowed the small amount of brisket (see photo). I won’t be returning to Oma's on my next visit to this German town and will make reservations elsewhere. Thank you for the parts of our visit and meal that were good.

It’s quite small, so try to visit during off-peak hours to avoid waiting for a seat. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t so pricey. A 25% price reduction would better reflect the value, but since the entire town is a tourist hotspot, I understand. They offer good German beer, and the soft pretzel is the biggest I’ve ever seen—you could easily make a meal out of just the pretzel. I’ll probably come back for the beer and pretzel. However, they don’t serve spaetzle here; the only place to get spaetzle is the Bavarian Inn.

They were incredibly kind and seated us right away. The food was really good. We tried their supposedly world-famous Frankenmuth chicken, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The pork schnitzel, though? Absolutely magnificent!

The schnitzel was dry and lacked flavor, while the potato dumplings tasted like frozen, deep-fried potatoes. Even the breadstick was dry. Overall, the menu at Oma's was disappointing.
