We have received ou... read more We had a very short waiting time to sit in a somewhat small stand. That means our server was absolutely great. Let the coffee never run out. We have received our delicious food in no time. I wanted to try Haystack because it is owned by the same people who own Countryside Dinner. I wasn't disappointed at all. Both places are great.

Home fries were very... read more Great homey feel, pleasant staff, wide selection. Had steak and eggs, steak flavor was very good but had a decent sized piece of fat on it. Home fries were very good. Kids had bfast platter, pancake was just the way I like, not doughy and had that goodgriddle crust. Wife had fried seafood platter, no complaints. Ordered side of hash brown casserole, had an off taste to it, notsure if it was the oil or the onions. Lots more on the menu that I'll be trying if we ever make it back thru this area.

I had the st... read more I really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere of this restaurant, and the staff were very friendly. There was a great variety of dishes to choose from. I had the steak and eggs, and the flavor of the steak was excellent, although there was a decent-sized piece of fat on it. The home fries were very tasty. My kids had schnapps and pancakes, which were just how I like them: not too doughy and with a nice crispy grid. My wife ordered the fried seafood platter and had no complaints. We also tried the hash brown casserole as a side; it had a distinct flavor that I couldn't quite identify—maybe it was from the oil or the onions. There’s so much more on the menu that I’d love to try if we ever come back to this area.

Waitresses always nice and add forks and condiments as needed. Will eat there again. Chopped sirloin and allbreakfast is excellent. One of the best restaurant/diner in Mt. Dora area.

Great diverse menu and excellent prices!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Breakfast all day, Steak and eggs were great. Lunch order was a burrito, huge and delicious. Daily special was meatloaf and two sides. Each meal was verygood, all under 10.00.
