Feedback
A recent visit to this Edmonton restaurant left mixed reviews on service, with one standout server noted. The food received praise, particularly the brat on a bun and fish & chips. The PEI mussels with shrimp and scallops in Asian sauce were enjoyable. The venue offers a generous amount of bread with meals. Despite some disappointment with the portion size for the price, the overall menu selection of entrees proved to be excellent. Quick service and quality ingredients make this spot ideal for a downtown lunch break. Reservations are recommended for this popular location.
Wandering around Whyte Ave and popped in for a drink and a snack. Sat at the bar and Andy served us. Great guy and greta atmosphere. Huge place with a large selection of craft beer on tap and a good selection of wine and spirits. Had the pot stickers which where great!
Stopped in for lunch on Saturday. Our server was not attentive or very friendly. One server, however, was phenomenal. A friend dropped his fork, and all of as sudden she appeared with great speed to see if we need another utensil. I wish I knew her name because as I observed her serving, and she was exceptional. Brat on a bun was very good, as was the fish & chips. The brisket was good too. I would go back, but I would not accept the server we had. Beer selection rocks!
I love the food here but not for a business lunch as seating is at long high tables with strangers or in one of 2 fast food style booths; takeout is an option.
Solid homemade sandwiches and soups. Great staff and quick service at reasonable prices. Try the beef sandwich with a soup and a root-beer...may personal favourite.
Food is very well prepared. I had PEI mussels with shrimp and scallops in an Asian sauce and the taste was very good - not amazing but good. Very generous with the the bread, I think I got 7 pieces with my meal. Wine list has some good choices but for the most part the wines are low end average wines but at least the prices seem to reflect that. For an appetizer we had home made ricotta, prosciutto, baked olives (quite good) with home made tomato sauce and a great crunchy bread. Service was very good. Not in the top 10 or 15 restaurants in Edmonton but still worth a visit.
