Incredible dining experience with a one-of-a-kind touch. The watermelon salad was absolutelyFlavorful!
Today was my first visit, and I tried the Zuckerskull burger and fries. Let me tell you, they were fantastic! I’ll definitely be back with more friends. The food was incredibly satisfying.
Most restaurants at this price point typically serve fries with their burgers and sandwiches. I spoke with a polite waitress who explained that they stopped serving fries because many customers didn’t finish them, leading to food waste. My friend and I were both surprised when our meals arrived without fries, making it feel more like we were at a food truck with limited supplies. On a positive note, a third friend who ordered vegan options from another food collective loved their meal. However, because of my experience, I’m hesitant to return to this food collective unless they address these inconsistent issues. My suggestion is simple: state clearly on the menu whether fries are included or if there’s an additional fee. My visit took place on the evening of June 30, 2022.
This is one of the most amazing places I love the frisky brisket and crack chips, but in serious everything is soou good
I'm a burger fanatic! I've been to most of the burger spots in Edmonton. Heard some really good things about Backstairs, and finally decided to check it out. I had no idea what I'd been missing. I will say, I wasn't a fan of the service, and I will dock them points. We were greeted and seated promptly, and the host just left us. Never asked if we'd been there before, or told us how the ordering system worked. I also wasn't a fan of the paying before you got the food. At this price point, I'd expect to pay after the meal, like ahh other dine in establishment. Onto the food review. First off; presentation. Our burgers came disassembled, with the top bun with sauce beside the bottom bun with the remainder of the burger toppings. I prefer that method. Secondly: taste. I took my first bite, and I was blown away by how incredible it tasted. The burger itself had a great meat flavour, albeit it was a bit dry, next time I'll order it medium rare, instead of medium well. I compare this burger to Woodshed, which is my all time favourite burger in Edmonton. We also ordered a side of their Crack Fries. Let me say, these were the best fries I've ever had. The fries were perfectly crispy, tithe y had a spicy cheese sauce and sour cream, and even with all the sauces, the fries held their crispiness throughout the duration of our meal. They never got soggy. They were amazing! I'd go back and order just these! Backstairs, you did a great job, but the host (I get it's not your fault) but the host needs to figure out the hosting aspect of his job.
