Fieldtrip - Denver
Fieldtrip
Description
Nestled in Denver's highlands, Field Trip offers a Hawaiian-themed bar experience with a vibrant patio atmosphere ideal for socializing. The drink selection impresses, particularly the daiquiris of the day. However, the food presents a mixed bag; while some dishes like katsu sliders and Huli Huli chicken receive praise for flavor and decent portion sizes, others like burnt ends and bland sides fall short of expectations. Service can lag during peak times, and dog policies on the terrace might deter pet owners. While it's a fun spot for drinks, diners seeking authentic Hawaiian cuisine should explore other options.
Feedback
TheGarden is beautiful, and the beer and drink selection is impressive. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend trying the musubi and loco moco!
Good vibes and solid food. quite unique! my wife and I have the huli huli and kalua pork, and both were great!
Food was not the best. If you’ve had real Hawaiian food I do not recommend this place. Everything tasted horrible. The rice was burned on my dish and there was something in the sliders that literally burned my nose because of how strong the taste was. Only good thing here are the drinks so if drinking and socializing is your thing then this is the place but do NOT get food here. Your stomach will be growling at you for the next few days. Go to L L instead. Trust me, they are AUTHENTIC hawaiian food.
Field Trip is a refreshingly different restaurant in the heart of the highlands. In a part of Denver overrun by high priced, tiny, artistic food looking at you El Five , Field Trip takes a different path. It's a Hawaiian style food with things like Huli Huli chicken, Mac salad, and tropical style drinks. We started with the field trip rolls. It's an interesting concept, but essentially it tasted like a hot dog sushi roll. That's not really my thing, but if you're into that go for it! The entrees were much better. We had Huli Huli chicken and chicken katsu curry. All the food tasted great, and portions were the right size. If tropical drinks aren't your thing, the space is connected to Recess so you can get any food drink item from that area as well. Field trip is definitely a fun new concept and is a great spot to sit outside with some friends on a nice day evening.
Been here two times in two weeks and the drinks do not disappoint. We haven't gotten any food yet, we tend to land here post brunch to keep the party going, but the menu looks amazing as well. Try WHATEVER the daiquiri of the day is, we've had peach kiwi, and lime kiwi; they're awesome.
