The restaurant offers "Pub Grub" and microbrews with counter service. As of August 23rd, the food is overly salty and the dining area is smoky. On the positive side, the menu is extensive with a variety of freshly prepared dishes such as snacks, poke bowls, salads, pastas, specials, burgers, pizza, wings, and rice dishes. The microbrewed beer, ginger beer, and cider on tap are all high quality. However, the location near a road can be loud, even when the restaurant is not busy. The service can be inconsistent and the staff sometimes seem unaware. The dining area can also become smokey during the lunch rush. The cooks are inconsistent and the food has become too salty. It is important to note that orders must be placed at the counter as there is no table service for ordering. The poke bowls in particular have been overly salted, with the rice almost appearing deep fried and the tofu being both salted and crispy.
I found homemade yogurt, hummus, cookies, and breads available for either dine-in or takeout at this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to come across these items in Dauin after riding to Dumaguete without knowing they were available here. The hummus had a slightly chunky texture instead of the smooth, oily texture I prefer, but the taste was still good. I appreciated that the tahini was made from scratch. The owner seemed a bit annoyed when I requested veggies to go with my meal, but she did add them in the end.
Our favorite place in Dauin! Great for drinks and awesome for brunch! Local live music some nights. House-made infused liquors in a variety of flavors. Great vibe with friendly and welcoming staff and a very energetic owner. And did I mention brunch?
If you love pork belly like I do, you must come here and get the lechon kawali. It’s amazing!!
