Everytime I visit Darjeeling, Kunga is a must for me. I have tried almost everything from there menu and all of them are amazing. Specially chilli pork, beef chilli is a must try and their mixed fried rice is the best thing on the menu. The staff is very friendly and service is fast. Food is hot so let them know if you want it to be less spicy.Cheers!
It is a small place serving authentic and tasty Tibetan cuisine. Because is it so small, expect a crowd waiting outside the gates. But the service inside is fast and very friendly staff. I ordered Chicken glassy noodles, Mixed Thukpa and beef momo. All of the dishes were spectacular. Also, must try the Lemon tea with honey, it's superb.
Kunga Restaurant is the SBI of Restaurants. I was shocked to see that the restaurant was closed from 1 to 3 PM on a weekday. We tried going for dinner again on the same day, but hey it was already closed by 7 PM. I don't know how can a restaurant survive with such erratic behaviour. It's better to just plan to go to Dekevas as the food is superb there and it remains open at all normal human timings.
Food is exceptionally good and freshly made. We had ordered momos and soup to go with it But the restaurant has very limited space and its cramped and sometimes the waiting time is more than an hour, which is really frustrating. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
