I'm a self-announced doughnut snob because I grew up on KK and never found any one I like as much as her. I didn't even want to shoot this place until I gave them a king cake for Mardi Gras. As someone who proudly considers themselves a doughnut connoisseur, having grown up on Krispy Kreme, I’ve yet to find a contender that matches its excellence. I was hesitant to visit this place until I tried their king cake for Mardi Gras, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted! This morning, I sampled their doughnuts, and they came in a close second to Krispy Kreme, in my opinion. They were wonderfully light and airy, just how I like them. I also enjoyed the cheddar sausage pastries, which were fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend checking them out!
These donuts are delicious!!! So many options...it was hard to decide how I wanted to fill my mixed dozen. And they also have warm pastries stuffed with cheese, meats and even BOUDIN! This New Orleans girl is in heaven:
