I have to say that of all the places in Majorda, this has to be the worst of the lot! Unhygienic and bad food, inexperienced waitstaff and a rowdy proprietor, unless you happen to be a western tourist off course, in which case they would bend over backwards to lick your behind. Probably why it's empty most of the time. Definitely wouldn't dine here or recommend this place to anyone. Try Pentagon restaurant which is a 5 minute walk down the road and much more better.

We have always had a great meal at Samhen until this year and we had the worse food we've ever been served. It was such a shock and speaking to others they too had similar experiences. However we were to that things were back to normal so we tried again and had a lovely meal.

We visited this year with friends who had never been to Samhen before (or Goa) & we all had fabulous food. We got them to try the combination rice as we had that for the first time last year & they too thought it was great.Unfortunately when we went Majorda was having one of its 3 "Dry Days", a ridiculous rule set by the Government/Council because of the forthcoming election, so we had diet Pepsi, which was fine. Normally we would have had Kingfisher beers or gin, which is served in small carafes,( fantastic value.) & tonics. This small restaurant was busy considering the restrictions in place, with music & alcohol, where other restaurants were completely empty on those days. Can certainly recommend!

Since we visited this café/restaurant, we were a few times. So we corrected this by dinner on Thursday evening on 23 January. it is located directly on the street from pentagon restaurant. sad, as the majorda beach hotel is closed, so have a series of...restaurants along the street. to the happiness this place remains open. it is about 15 minutes walk from our accommodation near the christ rei kapelle. it is very popular with tourists for either eating here or just for a drink. we ordered chicken noodles and a cheese, chili garlauch naan. we had a couple of beers. our eating was really delicious and we clean up the lot, including the rather large portion noodles. have always claimed that naan brot here, is some of the best in the opposite. this price of our meal was 540 rupien, which was less than £6 for both of us, really good worth. will certainly be back sooner than later.
