I stopped by for lunch while passing through Colesberg and tried the bobotie and chicken salad. The food was absolutely fantastic! The landlord and staff were very friendly as well. I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again in the future. View all feedback.
Charming little restaurant in Colesberg. I enjoyed the most delightful pumpkin fritters that brought back memories of my grandmother's cooking. I also had the Karoo platter, which featured a generous amount of lamb; it was a wonderfully rich meal, though quite fatty. The wine selection is limited, but overall, it was a great experience.
The food and service here are exceptional! I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Colesberg.
A beautifully rustic, historic place reminiscent of a more beautiful era, paraffin lamps, lovely nighttime atmosphere. The food... I ordered a Lamb curry which was produced in the kitchens of heaven. The craft gin was exquisite! Service is homely and fast, food doesn't take too long to prepare. Update:While the waitress is amazing, management has questionable ethics when it comes to drinks. The Gin is advertised as R55.00, but what is not mentioned, is that the mix is charged separately at around R20 extra. This is the only splinter in a really lovely restaurant..
Delicious food we had the lamb shank for dinner and thought it was very good value for money. Drinks (spirits) on the other hand I ordered a double Karoo craft gin mixer, and the price was nearly the same as a lamb shank meal
Food was amazing would definitely recommend,I wouldn’t eat any other place in Colesberg next time I’m here .
