Was kimberly at Sakura Chaya Clovis a mag?
Sushi rolls are very large portions. I tend to like to get several rolls for variety but one roll does it here. It can get very loud. And were we sat had a very cold draft. But I’m sure other seats are just fine. I will definitely go back for sure.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kiddos. Seemed to be the place for birthdays in general but more kids birthdays than I would have assumed. View all feedback.

What Marlyse Tait dislikes about Sakura Chaya Clovis:
Where's the food? I ordered two shrimp tempura plates with no salad or rice, but I only received about 7-10 small bites of food. In fact, my husband ended up with all of it. The portion sizes were far too small for one person, let alone two seniors, especially considering the price of over $25. I gave all the food to my husband, and even he said it wasn't enough for a proper meal. I pointed out that I had actually or... View all feedback.

This place has both sit down dining and teppenyaki, obviously the latter having massive demand with waits over an hour long. Even sitting and waiting for a booth was also lengthy as well, around 45 mins when promised 15 mins. Mainly due to clean up or tables being opened, the hostess was vague on that... It all changed once we sat down...I cant stress how well this server was tonight! She was very chatty and also loved and made recommendations! The craziest part was when I was deciding between vanilla or rainbow servant and she brought out both!!We ordered a special bento box filled with tempura and beef and siu mai and potato salad! Basically a sample of the entire menu as a little bento box!!!I ordered a sukiyaki hot plate with beef on it, it had a very tangy mushroom sauce in it topped with sesame seeds and cilantro. Beef tasted very very flat though even with all of that. The roasted salmon and the California rolls were also nothing home to write about and at $14+ they better have meant something and failed... The salad was also questionable too with the sauce choice but the veggies were fresh. At least the miso soup was good! But with the price paid there was a lot of food that we couldn't finish and we didnt mind taking them out! I don't remember ordering having that many boxes in a while! And we were pretty hungry when we came in!I would like to come back here. Maybe one day to try out the teppanyaki, since i here that is the main attraction here! But the server is on the restaurant side is still really really good! I'm not sure it's the server's in the teppanyaki side is the same...

We really enjoy the fried rice and spicy sauce offered here! The service is generally prompt, and the staff is friendly and attentive, even during busy times. If you're in the vicinity, be sure to make reservations for teppanyaki! The restaurant is well-maintained, and the restrooms are clean.

The taste wasn’t bad, but it didn’t meet our expectations. I urge you to go in with realistic expectations. I definitely can’t afford to eat at a place like that again.
