Description
Tucked away yet highly praised, this Asian restaurant offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for casual dinners or special occasions. Many guests applaud the flavorful, well-prepared dishes like Thai boneless wings, curry, and perfectly cooked salmon. The menu is diverse but manageable, catering to varied tastes without overwhelming choices. Service is generally friendly and attentive, contributing to a welcoming dining experience. However, some patrons report inconsistency in food quality and professionalism, with occasional issues in takeout orders. Reasonably priced and with standout desserts like house-made coconut ice cream, this spot remains a favored destination for both locals and celebrations.

We held a function at Formosa recently and everything was perfect. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I started with the steak and cheese spring roll special, which was delicious, then had the pork chop. We all enjoyed our meals and had a great time. I would absolutely go back! This is the first time that I have visited this restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. My waiter's name was Tom and he was polite, knowledgeable about the menu items and just seemed happy. Having a waiter like this made my experience very enjoyable. For starters I had the seafood ravioli. It was a special item that isn't listed on the menu, but it was the best ravioli that I've had in a long time. It was stuffed with shrimp and crab and came with a white wine sauce with truffle oil. I've had dishes where the truffle oil overpowered the entire dish, but this one was perfect. For my entree I had the mango and honey chicken. The chicken was perfect. It was breaded, but the breading wasn't thick and didn't get soggy with the mango honey sauce. The chicken was also topped with peppers, pineapple and onions, but it wasn't overloaded and they added to the flavor nicely. This dish also came with steamed broccoli and rice. The rice came in a bowl on the side and wasn't soaked in sauce. I also had a Thai iced tea to drink with my meal. It was sweet, but not too sweet and had a light orange flavor. Overall I had a great experience and the food was amazing! Thank you for making my night, Formosa!
