Description

Despite the beautiful location, reviews for the cafe at Yarrow Valley Park are mixed. Some customers had frustrating experiences with unreliable opening times and unhelpful staff, while others praised the efficient service, quality food, and friendly atmosphere. The cafe offers a variety of food options, including breakfast and ice cream, but may have limited choices on certain days. However, the cafe's cleanliness and reasonable prices are consistently highlighted. Overall, it seems that a visit to this cafe could be hit or miss, depending on the day and time.

What’s to review. This place has gone down hill and the drain drastically. The staff look like they don’t want to be there. They are rude and the food is no longer quality ingredients. Bacon looked like it had been sat for hours. Used to be a lovely restaurant this when it first opened. Time to move on. Won’t be back.

First the positive. The staff were very friendly. No complaints there. Unfortunately that was the only thing positive about the place. Ordered a Ham and mustard sandwich on brown bread with a salad garnish. The sandwich arrived and what a sorry thing it was. A piece of cheap ham slice between 2 slices of thin low quality bread. No salad so the replacement was a few crisps added to the side of the plate. Cost 4.40 poorest value I have had in a long time. The toilets were also in a poor state. In need of a good clean and some maintenance. All in all very poor. Avoid.

Have been calling into this cafe for years after a dog walk. The last few times have been seriously disappointing.. the service is atrocious, no sense of urgency and god forbid anyone cracks a smile !! Staffed by students, such a shame as doubt we will go back now.

We have never been to yarrow valley before and thought we would give it a try. The park and lodges themselves are wonderful. Unfortunately the cafe was not.

The food on offer was simple but homemade and freshly cooked to order. The staff, on duty the day that we were there, were smartly presented and happy to serve us. Service was prompt and the food was hot and tasty. The homemade cakes and scones were of an excellent quality and reasonable priced. Good quality coffee topped off an very nice lunch.
