$60 for 32 wings and an order of fries thru Door Dash and THE only good thing that came out of it was a pleasant Dasher named Dionte. Garlic Parm smoked wings were like Garlic Blob. The garlic parmesan sauce was literally thrown on top of the wings; obviously not tossed as they should have been. The plain smoked wings were overcooked...pretty much burnt so bad they didn't even have a taste. We all understand that businesses are in need of workers, but when people are spending THIS MUCH MONEY for such poor quality do you honestly expect your customers to NOT say anything? I have pictures that I will post as well. Y'all need to do better regardless!
I DO NOT recommend anyone order from here. The wings I’ve received have barely any amount of seasoning on them. The wet sauce ones are only slightly more coated in sauce. The fries are an absolute joke. They were as if they just soaked them in cold grease for a half hour. Just soggy and disgusting. Recommend this place be removed from all ordering platforms. Save yourself from disappointment and order wings from anywhere else.
So I took my kids to an early evening dinner Saturday. I have been to this restaurant many times over the last decade and generally enjoy the service. We were quickly sat down by the host as the restaurant was only about 30% occupied…which made me happy because I knew food should come out rather quickly. About 10 minutes after we sat, we could hear some “loud words” that sounded like our server not knowing she had people sat at her table. Sure enough, shortly afterward, she came over to introduce herself and take our order. She seemed flustered having to be corrected several times about what we were ordering. About 5 minutes later she returned with our drinks and said she would place our orders. Roughly 30 minutes later, a couple comes in and was seated right behind us…keeping in mind that the restaurant is still fairly empty. Within minutes, their server came and took their drink and dinner order. Immediately, I thought it strange that we haven’t seen our server in over 30 minutes. THEN, maybe 10-15 minutes after this, that same couple were served their meals. I was shocked…we had been waiting close to an hour! I stopped the young man who brought that couple food and asked him can we see the manager. He said “yes, can I ask why?” I said yes, we have been here almost an hour and not received any food or any follow-up service. He said “Ok, I will get the manager.” Minutes later, I see him walking towards our booth with plates of food (we didn’t order salmon). He begins to say “Ok, I have your order.” I stop him and ask him where is the manager? He starts eye-balling me, and repeatedly saying “So, do you want your food? “ After, I asked him the 3rd time can I speak to the manager, and he then tell me “Do you want your food,” I decided not to create a scene in front of my kids and just leave. I’m a supervisor myself and I couldn’t imagine letting a client not receive service in a half empty establishment…all while they are sitting and waiting, having to listen and watch multiple staff members joking, arguing, and on their phones. This was not the Smoky Bones that I dined in over a decade ago when I moved to Chesapeake. And to the young man who was staring me down and cutting me off with “So, do you want your food?”…Im not “trifling,” and I didn’t “waste your time”…Yes, I heard you.
Order was incorrect missing bacon on my burger which I paid extra for and fries were old, dark and dry with no salt. Burger flavor was meh. Drinks weren?t provided. Manager was nice with refund. Seems like more attention to detail in packing needs tobe done for order accuracy. This was my first and last time ordering based on this experience.
The food is absolutely not worth the price. $35 for dry, underseasoned wings, microwaved corn, and half-cooked sweet potato fries. The cooks only gave me half the wings I ordered despite having the number written on the box and the manager only offeredme the wings I was owed, nothing to speak of wasting half my evening. The only reason to go there is to help support theirawesome wait staff, very good people working there, can't say the same about the people running the place.
