It was my daughter's 21st birthday and we were looking for somewhere a bit special for breakfast and found Transit. Quirky, comfortable and friendly. I had Eggs Benedict, a dirty chai latte and a lovely green juice and all were excellent. Daughter loved her chai and had a bacon roll of some sort (she's a fussy eater so I didn't pay much attention). The guy serving was lovely. The rest of the menu looked really interesting. Would def go back when next in Canberra.
Went to the Transit Bar on a Friday night for drinks and the service was prompt the Mt Tennent Pale Ale was cold and the pizza was good. While there I dropped a ring that had great sentimental value. I couldn't get back until the following Tuesday, but the staff had picked up the ring and it was behind the counter. Thanks to the staff for returning something I could never have replaced. Cheers TB
Good beer, and drinks lots of room, nice Pizza friendly staff. Prices 'normal', great convenient location.
I would not recommend visiting the Transit Bar. The drinks are overpriced, the layout is difficult to navigate, and there is limited space for live music shows. The food is also subpar, with menu items not matching what is served. Overall, the quality of the sound and stage is poor as well. I would not recommend this venue for any bands or performers. It is a waste of time, money, and rental space.
We have been to this restaurant multiple times for lunch, always with a group of 6 or more. The pizza selection is great, with vegetarian options available. They also have a variety of tap beers, including cider, but unfortunately there are no deals on drinks. The atmosphere is quiet and private.
