As a huge fan of Ippudo, I inquired if I could substitute tofu for pork in my dish. I had gotten a tummy ache the last time I had pork, but I believe it was due to my sensitive stomach rather than the quality of the pork. The restaurant informed me that I could have the spicy pork ramen without the pork, but there would be an additional charge for the tofu. The best ramen in london, found by coincidence, and impressed by the quality and service. very nice place, friendly staff.
3.5 rating, mostly minus points on the mains. The sides and starters are so tasty but a little overpriced in my opinion (chicken wings and harata buns). My main, dipping soba was okay. The noodles were hard to separate and pick up with chopsticks, it was stuck altogether so maybe the noodles could be placed neatly when served or add a bit more oil? I dunno. Also I'm not sure why but for cold soba and dipping sauce, it took quite some time to come out from the kitchen. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
