Description

The Cafe Nero branch in Cambridge City Centre has received mixed reviews. Some customers were disappointed with the cleanliness of the facilities and the quality of the food and drinks. A customer complained about a rude staff member and subpar milkshakes. Despite the negative feedback, others had positive experiences, with one customer praising the helpful service and delicious iced tea. Additionally, the cafe's gesture of providing water bowls for dogs outside was appreciated by passersby on a hot day. Overall, while some improvements may be needed, Cafe Nero has both satisfied and disappointed customers.

Bizarre experience Tuesday. Went in and asked for a macchiato. Paid etc, was given a double espresso? The lady who made it said i asked for a double espresso…. The gentleman next to me in the queue even said, that I ordered a macchiato to go. She was not understanding me, so i left with a double espresso

Couldn't really enjoy my coffee because it was so cold inside, they had the air conditioning on as if it was summer time.

Coffee and cake is ok, and the seating itself comfortable. But the really unfriendly bit about this place, which negates the purpose of the cozy furniture, is the chilly temperature, even in the secluded places far away from the entrance. I think they intentionally set the air conditioning to make it unwelcoming, ie. Please buy and gobble down our coffee and cake, then get out as soon as possible. Most customers wear hoodies and their winter coats even inside. We will not come here anymore.

High Sugar Warning Similar problem as Costa, most of the items are so unfriendly to diabetes and keto diet people. I was so shocked that as a chained cafe, most of the food has sugar. With loads of sugar syrup to support the drinks. How about savory options? Found pots of tomato soup in the fridge. But found that it has sugar when reading the food label. That left the sandwiches, which was not suitable for keto diet people. Quite disappointed that Nero didn't try to do something after the sugar tax. Kinda sorry for this lovely cafe. As it has a good environment, with good location and staff. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
