I have visited this branch before in the past and have found their service substandard in comparison to other branches in the Berkshire area. I normally order a salad and its under par in terms of quantity and it is difficult to makr polite conversation with the staff. They came across as stand offish and miserable.However, my son and I went there today and were warmly greeted by two young ladies. They were so bubbly and there excellent customer service made a very welcome change so helpful and courteous. The portion size was much improved and my don said his BMT was the best he has ever had from there. As a consequence, we will be visiting again in the near future. Well done ladies for lifting our spurits and making our ecperience a much more positive one. Credit where credit is due!
Ordered through Uber eats got my order completely wrong and would not refund the monies. Bread was very dry, crisps were stale...
The menu is well known and the same in each of these outlets so it is a reliable choice no matter which one you go to. therefore it is dependable for a good quick snack type meal.
I've been to this branch a few times now, it's probably one of the biggest branches I've known it can be very quiet at times, but lunchtime can get very busy due to a lack of staff. I've noticed they do deliveries now so trade will pick up. Many people dread going into this branch because although a certain manager is polite he can come across as extremely sarcastic about so many things including the way you look or how you walk into the store. It's really annoying and very uncomfortable at times.This branch also closes really early something like 68pm, which is really annoying considering the Tesco closes at 10pm and the last train which is right next door is something like 12:30am. The place does need a good clean, especially the glass in front of the food looks filthy, the tables can be a little sticky and the windows need a good clean. The store can also get very hot, not sure if it's to keep costs down. I also agree the sandwiches are shrinking, they are very tight with how much they put inside the subs, even a footlong can keep you hungry afterwards.It would also be an opportunity for the manager to put vouchers at the side of the till and have more printed for regular customers, something else this branch is very tight doing yet it can only create more business in the long run.
