I was very pleased that I was able to be offered the menu degustation even though I had not reserved it in advance. Several very nice dishes were served, most with shell (fish). I loved the tuna tataki and the iberico.
We enjoyed great food; my husband ordered turbot, cooked perfectly, whilst I ordered hake which was so moist and served with a sort of cream foam, absolutely delicious. We were recommended an Albariño wine which we hadn’t drunk before and it was excellent and a modest price. All in all a great experience. We were staying at the Parador where the dining room food was terrible, so made our experience at Trasno all the better!
We are always delighted with the food, service and welcome at one of our very favourite restaurants. Carlos, Vicente, Juan and all the team make every visit a wonderful experience. Most recently we ate a sardine with foie gras ice cream and fruit that was delectable. This was followed by a “zorza” of bonito with a soft egg and crispy potatoes. A main course of Hake in an Albariño sauce left barely enough room for dessert, but we managed!
We have been at Trasno’s twice, and the experience was very mixed. First time, service and food were fine. Second time, we waited for 30 minutes before the server showed up, and many of our choices were completely sold out (no salads, no mariscos). Who is running out of food on a Friday evening??? On top of that, the fish (merluza) was not fresh. Disappointing.
