Originally we walked past as it looked like a cheap cafe, but after consulting this site went in, and the food was spot on. Menu options were excellent and staples like entrecôte steak were superb. Good value too, and the staff were lovely.

We ordered moules/frite... read more Doesn't look a great deal from the outside (especially on a wet and windy Wednesday) but the reception we got from the staff was lovely. We ordered moules/frites and beef bouguignon meals along with 2 glasses of wine, pint of Jupiler and two coffees for 40 euro. Not cordon bleu but very nice food and a friendly and warm atmosphere. Certainly recommend.

We had a... read more An unassuming little cafe come restaurant, Le Grillon is an excellent place for lunch whilst in Calais. Several menus to choose from, and normal carte. We had a light lunch of mussels and a Tatin of Foie Gras. Beautifully presented and very tasty.The restaurant itself lacks ambiance, so would not choose it for dinner (altough the food is great), but makes a very good choice for lunch. Friendly and fast service, reasonable prices.
