Marlucas - Bushkill
Marlucas
Description
Anchored as a neighborhood pizzeria with genuine New York–style pies, Marluca’s offers solid takeout, delivery and a casual dine-in vibe with standout items like baked ziti, veggie pie and wings. Service is often friendly and efficient, though phone service can be spotty. Food quality swings — pizza and garlic knots vary — and a serious menu-pricing dispute and an unhelpful manager marred one visit. Generous free parking (unpaved, rough) and a planned bar hint at greater potential for this affordable, down-to-earth spot.

The food here has always been great in the past, but my experience today was incredibly disappointing. I stopped by to pick up dinner for my family and me, and when I got home and opened the containers, I was shocked. The garlic knots were drenched in grease and inedible. The chicken fingers were so terrible that I opened them up, and there was absolutely no chicken—just fried breading that tasted like flour. The fries, which used to be hand-cut, tasted worse than generic frozen fries from the grocery store. The food was so bad that I couldn’t even give it to my dogs; I ended up throwing everything away. The quality of these entrees was so poor that I genuinely wonder how they could have sold them. This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I’m really frustrated that they would treat a paying customer with such disregard. Never again!

So I had left a review previously on how horrible the service was but I have decided to give the place a second shot. My oh my has it gotten worse. When walking in you get hit with the smell of blight and cigarettes. This place truly is falling apart. I decided to be simple and order a cheese pizza, caesar salad, and some wings. IT WAS AWFUL, HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO MESS UP A CEASAR SALAD?!? As for the salad the lettuce was wilted and it was drowning in clumped up parmesan cheese, the pizza was stiff and greasy and the wings were burnt to a crisp. I assume the younger crowd is no longer there which is why my buddies can no longer get a decent sandwich and the “owner” is as horrible as ever. I have never met someone so unsettling and disrespectful. This place is an embarrassment to the poconos. Close shop and give us hikers what we deserve. Don’t waste your time here.
