Nice garde... read more Found this Romanian Restaurant close by our hotel and decided to have dinner there. So glad we did as it was excellent, from the food to the service. Nice garden with umbrellas , and an awning in case of rain. We ordered goulash, with mashed potatoes for main course, which was the perfect choice. It was delicious. A much better option than some of the more well known restaurants so give it a try.

If you have a lot of time and I mean a LOT Burebista’s outdoor dining is lovely. There is seating beneath a large canopy and beneath umbrellas as well. Service... read more If you have a lot of time and I mean a LOT Burebista’s outdoor dining is lovely. There is seating beneath a large canopy and beneath umbrellas as well. Service is incredibly slow and inattentive. At one point I motioned for the waiter and he stood there smoking his cigarette until I got up and asked for something face to face. Even then he waited a bit. Unacceptable. However... the food was well prepared and arrived promptly once we eventually ordered. Our party had Salata Bulgareasca and Quattro Formaggi Pasta, ending with the Frappes for dessert. The atmosphere is lovely and it’s a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of that area of Bucharest. It’s right behind the Hotel Intercontinental and beside the Romanian National Theater. I’d return for a (very) leisurely drink on the patio perhaps and hope for better service.

The waiter (an older man) was yelling at him to pay at the table and not to move to another... I decided to go to the bar to get a drink not to angry him with my order. I did, I payed at the bar and after a few minutes I decided to eat a sallad. I asked very nicely like: May I order a sallad, please? The answe was a yelled: NO! I won 't get you anything, why didn 't order when you arrived? I said that I had just arrived... he said NO! again I don ' 't have time, I don 't have time to get you any thing!! After a while my friends wanted to ask for the check wanted to tell him to get the check... They didn 't finnish the sentance and he yelled: NOO! I don 't have time!!! I don 't have time!!! It took them a while to make him understant that they just wanted to pay!! I never seen anything like this in my life, it 's totally unappropiated and unbeliveble that you canf find this tipe of attitude in the very Center of Bucharest in a high class restaurant... That 's sad!

They are very grumpy unfortunately,when we go to Burebista they did not have something like half of the menu, we need to ask them what they have in the kitchen since everything that we try to order the answer was “we do not have it” The waitress is moving very slow even to take order.
