Found this Romanian Restaurant close by our hotel and decided to have dinner there. So glad we did as it was excellent, from the food to the service. Nice garden with umbrellas , and an awning in case of rain. We ordered goulash, with mashed potatoes for main course, which was the perfect choice. It was delicious. A much better option than some of the more well known restaurants so give it a try. View all feedback.
What Sabina Dinu doesn't like about Burebista:
Just entered there for a lunch with a friend on a Saturday, because they have a nice terrace just in the mid of the city. I had to wait one hour for a traditional fish meal (which was correct) but only few people stayed at other tables. When to pay, the waiter asked me why the tip is so small. I still cannot believe this. And the waiter was a mature one, not a beginner. Another friend at another table ordered pork Sc... View all feedback.
We stopped off at Restaurant Burebista, as it had an appealing looking outside area, lit by fairy lights. We only stayed for a quick drink but the setting was very relaxing.

A friend recommended this restaurant and since it was close to the apartment where we were staying we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 3pm and most tables were available so we took one close to a fan. Everything started to go badly when the waiter insisted that we had the soup and the shnitzel, we refused it several times but he was really persistent. Then, when ordering the wine he decided that he would bring us a rose of his choice. I suspected that he was going to bring the an expensive one so my husband went directly to the bar and asked for a Chardonnay, but the waiter came a few minutes later informing that they didn't had it. Oddly enough it turned out that they didn't had any of the low and midrange wines rose or white wines (waiter didn't had ti check or ask, he automatically said they were out of each of them), so we had to take the one he picked for us from the beginning. It turned out to be a regular wine way too expensive for the price they charged, and coincidentally was the one that they advertised on the tents (I wonder if they get a commission per sold bottle...). The food took a long time to arrive, the rabbit I ordered and my husband's boar were dry and overcooked. Even my daughter's carbonara penne was poorly cooked and bland. At the end, the waiter demanded a tip since service was not included and we paid by card, he stayed there until we reluctantly gave him a bill. It is a shame this restaurant is managed so poorly because the place is pretty and could provide an enjoyable experience. Not recommended at all!!
Food is good, the service is pretty slow unfortunately. The location is outside the noisy area of the town centre which is nice.
A éviter...
