Sh... read more We went there for a lunch after the hike and were disappointed. The waitress an older lady that was supposed to take care of us was really rude and arrogant. She probably could not speak english but when we tried it with our broken deutsch she pretended to not understand. She had a sour face the whole time. Food was expensive and sucked. It was really greasy and we felt a bit sick afterwards.. Would not recommend spending money there. Rooms: 5 Service: 1 Location: 5

Unfortunately we were skilfully and very obviously ignored several times and after about 12 minutes we left the terrace shaking our heads. It's a pity, that wasn't a nice experience for us and I hope, for the operator of this location, that it was only due to the bad mood of a single employee on the day. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

It was amazing to sit... read more During our hike in the appenzell mountains we decided to stay here. It was off season and we arrived early evening after a day long hike. It was amazing to sit down in front of the house to have a beer and enjoy the calmness and the great view. We then decided to check in when we got 2 rooms instead of one what was very convenient as we were a group of six. The shower unfortunately cost money but I guess that's needed for such a place in the mountains. We then went for dinner and enjoyed a Fantastic side salad and a massive rösti. Generally satisfied we caught some sleep before enjoying a decent breakfast and hiking back down to civilization. I can really recommend this place, especially because of the friendly hosts that made us feel very welcome!!!

It's literally in between huge, (gigantic), (massive) mountains and behind it is a calm and cold lake..OMG! This is really a must-visit place. The restaurant is cool, clean toilets, and the service was good. Location: 5
