The park, known for its sprawling landscapes, is especially popular among dog walkers, and the cafe provides dog-friendly treats like sausage bites. While the cafe's service and food quality are generally praised, busy weekends may lead to long queues. Visitors appreciate the welcoming staff and the park's serene atmosphere. We visited today for 9 holes of Football Golf and lunch for 2 with a Groupon deal. It was really reasonably priced at £15. I think with a Groupon voucher code I even got it slightly cheaper. Normally £10 each for the football golf. The ham,egg and chips was good, an extra egg would have made it better. Drinks not too badly priced. The guy in the pro shop was lovely, as were the girls behind the bar. The signage around the football golf was quite poor and the reason for 4 stars, we worked it out in the end with the help from the map and the gardeners. Would definitely recommend, it was a fun afternoon.

Lovely area to walk. Good wooded trails were able to do a few miles. Many dogs about. Good car park and adequate toilets open 10-4.

This place is such a hidden treasure. Ideal place to take a ramble cast aside those Worldly cares. The perfect place to feel at one with nature ease your mental health. Seems to be very popular with dog walkers. Although there is a Cafe here, it's probably best avoided at Weekends Public/School Holidays, as the queues for food are unbelievably long.
