We go to Chevals a couple of times a year in conjunction with a 'race & stay' package deal with a local motel.The food is always delicious & beautifully present... read more We go to Chevals a couple of times a year in conjunction with a 'race & stay' package deal with a local motel.The food is always delicious & beautifully present. The staff have always been amazing, professional & very friendly. Full table service for drinks also.Chevals overlooks the finish line of the track, has televisions within the restaurant to watch other race meetings & has facilities for placing your bets. We've taken friends with us in the past, have recommended it to others & always look forward to our next visit. Always a great day out with great food & atmosphere.Dress rules do apply

Once seated in the fine d... read more The owners and staff at this restaurant were very particular about the dress code upon entering, which took up 20 minutes of our time. Once seated in the fine dining room, the set price was fair and the service was friendly, though a bit slow. Unfortunately, my barramundi and my friend's steak were disappointing. The barramundi was partially frozen and undercooked, while the steak was bland and unappetizing. The entrees were dull and lacked flavor. Overall, we were not impressed and would not return to this restaurant.

The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are always amazing, professional, and very friendly, providing full table service for drinks as well. Chevals has a view of the finish line of the track, televisions in the restaurant to watch other race meetings, and facilities for placing bets. We have brought friends in the past and recommended it to others, always eagerly anticipating our next visit. It's always a fantastic day out with great food and atmosphere. This year the menu changed from a three cursor to the buffet. great idea! great to be able to eat when it fits on a cheese plate for the late afternoon races an... read more This year the menu changed from a three cursor to the buffet. great idea! great to be able to eat when it fits on a cheese plate for the late afternoon races and crawls. we found the food delicious - especially the...eye filet! nice selection of warm and cold sides. the dessertbar was amazing! beautifully presented! we enjoyed one of the waiter jackon he was very personal and efficient. a big day and we look forward to moving to a buffet!
