The... read more My husband and I stayed at Lochside while on Islay for our Honeymoon, and we are so glad that we did. Everyone at Lochside was so incredibly accommodating. The room exceeded all expectations. The view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was so convenient AND delicious! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Went in to have a drink and were told we had to leave as we had takeaway boxes from elsewhere and they are a restaurant too. (I also had about 2 more bites of ice cream that I finished before we even walked out. I said we weren't going to eat the food there, the boxes were closed, and we just wanted a beer. She looked at us like we were stupid and said we couldn't have food from somewhere else in there. It was in a closed box, mind you, and I repeated that we weren't going to eat it there. She said we had to leave. I said fine, we'll go spend our money somewhere else. Never had that happen before.
