Zagame's - Boronia

This pub is quite large and modern, offering a wide range of vegan choices on its menu, alongside a traditional menu. There's a spacious playground for kids and a separate area for gaming machines, making it family-friendly. They even have a vegan menu for children! I tried the Beetroot Burger, which was enjoyable, but the fries were a bit disappointing – you typically expect fries to be a highlight at any pub. Unfortunately, the drink selection was limited to standard fountain sodas, and it would have been nice to see some kombucha options to complement the vegan offerings. Overall, I was thrilled to discover this pub in Berwick, especially since there are so few options for vegans in the area.

It’s a great place for a family outing, especially with the nice kids' play area. The meals are generally decent. I usually go for the pizza since it fits better in my budget, while other menu items can be a bit pricey.

This isn't gourmet food, but the meal was enjoyable, and I appreciated being able to dine with my non-vegan family. I ordered the Beetroot Burger, which was truly delicious, and the pumpkin slate, which turned out to be more of a salad served on a slice of roasted pumpkin. Surprisingly, it was quite tasty and filling for a salad. My grandmother had the spring rolls, which she said were delightful, though the portion size was small for $15! Overall, the food is a bit overpriced, but that's unfortunately similar to most bistros and cafes these days.
