Good address, beautiful wine map, served at the right temperature (rare!) fine and original cuisine, quick and efficient service.
Food was very good. Creative ways for inventive foods. Best restaurant in Bordeaux hands down. High quality food at middle to high pricing. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bordeaux
Great ambiance, excellent food, and magnificent service. We've been binging on Michelin restaurants for the last week, and by far, the quality and innovative ways of integrating the differing layers and complexity of food, this restaurant is hands down, one of the best one star Michelin restaurants. We did the seven course and it included lobster, steak, tuna, foie gras (two separate times), and some really interesting and very refreshing ice cream with a thin, clear caramel cookie! Never thought asparagus ice cream would be so tasty! My friend did the wine pairing and loved every single one. I'm not a big wine person but did breathe-in the aroma of one of the pairing, and asked for a glass. The smell of strawberries from the 2022 Faustine Vieilles Vignes drew me in, and it did not disappoint. I'll search for the same bottle or no earlier than 2020, once I return home. Thank you Solane (she looks a bit like Diane Kruger from the side)! Must thank the Le Solana chefs, staff, servers and hostess/manager for an excellent meal and memorable experience. Will likely return whenever I visit Bordeaux again!
We ordered the several courses truffle menu, one fine dish succeeded another, an exquisite display of the chef's talents. The service was charming, professional and perfectly timed. The 2 waitresses were very knowledgeable, it was a great experience to be served by such inspired servers. While Le Solena has a decent wine list, we would have liked to find more under the radar Bordeaux, white and red, but, hey, they can built their list with time and feedbacks. This modern and minimalist restaurant is a little gem in a quiet neighborhood. A taxi or an über is be a must.
Excellent in every way. We had the 6 course tasting menu accompanied by the wine pairing. All courses including the bonus amuse bouches were beautifully presented and introduced. The flavours were subtle and distinctive without being excessively rich. We ended our meal fully satisfied without feeling overstuffed. It’s a small intimate restaurant with 8 tables. The waiting staff were attentive, warm and friendly. Yes : it costs a lot — but for a special occasion, and for a meal of that quality, it is well worth it.
