If you're in Bordeaux, this restaurant is an absolute must. The cocktails are standout. All of the food we ordered was cooked perfectly. Plus the views here are gorgeous, especially at sunset. And the prices were incredibly reasonable for everything we got. This was a highlight of our visit in Bordeaux.

We were nervous to come after reading a review where an American received poor service, but we shouldn't have been. Our service was on par with other nicer restaurants in France. You should make a reservation, though, especially if it's a busier night. We ordered the cuttlefish and foie gras ravioli as starters. The cuttlefish was good; maybe not the best we've had. The ravioli were really good, however. For our mains we ordered a duck breast with gnocchi and scallops with squid ink pasta. The duck was a little over cooked, but not criminally so. Everything else was great. The portions were bigger than we anticipated. Speaking to my American compatriots come here with a reservation, try to speak some French (even if you can't do it well), treat the servers and the other diners with respect and you'll be just fine here.

Dinner on the water while watching fireworks in Bordeaux...it's a tough life... Food was excellent, Foie gras, duck, squid ink pasta with scallops...all were wonderful Staff was very nice but slightly overwhelmed with the crowd.

Simply the most arrogant, insulting, and shameful establishment we have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I am beyond troubled at a place that purports itself to be of such a high standard when it proves itself to be a fan of highbrow attitudes yet performs it 's service with complete lack of adeptness. Our sole purpose was to try what we thought was a romantic place for our first honeymoon night in Bordeaux, but instead we left after a single round of craft cocktails that I 'm guessing were made by the snotty little Indian waitress who took it upon herself to ignore us repeatedly. I hesitate to assume that it was due to our being American, I prefer not to start throwing that around, but it was less than thinly veiled that she could not be bothered with us; nor could the bald male server that thrice cleared glassware from a nearly empty patio while we sat for almost 30 MINUTES without a drink order taken. Thanks to a bright young lady whose bubbly personality and true kindness we fully appreciated, we finally received our swill (I 've been a huge fan of craft mixology for a while, I absolutely understand the efforts it takes this was akin to drinking what a kid playing with a soda gun would make), and then the hammer dropped. We chose a table, thinking we could maintain and just see the skies clearing on our night, we spoke to our server, we 're given menus, and asked about specials. Nowhere in the establishment is it stated reservations only ; the long time local whose apartment we 've booked has eaten here and never once made a reservation, and the locals we met later said the same. Somehow, miraculously, while a few people came in and sat down without even checking in, we were called out for not having one. Leave? SOLD. I don 't care if we were wrong about this, but no explanation, simply our lovely dark skinned and spectacled ode to resting **** face saying something to our kind server and then the hammer dropping. My new bride was in tears, not for the lack of dining there, but simply from the complete lack of class exhibited by a collective of poorly dressed snobbery that attempted to make us feel like interferences and obstacles. Thankfully our server was kind the whole way, and we didn 't have the entire staff shoving us out the door. For the record, we were dressed as well as any other guests, conducted ourselves appropriately, never made a scene regarding the long wait, and when asked to leave, kindly apologized and paid while clearing our own glassware. We spoke some French but not fluently, yet we did our best to be apologetic for our lacking, and our server did not seem at all offended like her associate who avoided us like a plague. I do not feel happy at all about leaving this review, and find no thrill in this, but having grinded through the service industry to raise a child, finish my degrees, and get to a good place in life, I wanted to make the honeymoon of a lifetime an unforgettable experience for my wife. Mission accomplished we will not forget this. Please see my forthcoming review of Cafe du Port for the amazing turnaround after this failure, so you can see how a fine dining establishment should operate on every level.

All you expected from a good restaurent This is one of my favourite restaurant I have dined in Bordeaux. The staffs are very well trained, very nice and welcome service. Very nice menu and there is always a today special. Food is above average and there is magnificent view of Bordeaux. Service is the best in Bordeaux, we ordered a main course and it turns out they have run out of that dish. he chef offer us a dish free of charge, that's what a top restaurant is about.
