The Waterloo - Northumberland
The Waterloo
Description
Despite the nice ambiance and affordable prices at The Waterloo, the staff's disinterest in customer service was evident, with some even giving negative reactions to simple requests. Additionally, the intimidating atmosphere created by the presence of police officers outside made the experience uncomfortable for patrons. The manager's lack of attention to detail and the long wait times at the bar further added to the negative impression of the place. However, some visitors appreciated the friendly bar staff and mixed clientele that contributed to a good atmosphere. While there were some positive aspects, overall, The Waterloo left much to be desired in terms of service quality and management.

My wife and I visited this restaurant a couple of times over the Christmas and New Year period. The pints were good, the atmosphere was great, and the bouncer was very friendly. The staff were helpful and quick to serve.
During our visit, we found the atmosphere to be quite intimidating. With the presence of police officers outside, we felt very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave.
This restaurant has nice ambiance and affordable prices, however, the staff seems more interested in being on their phones or chatting with each other rather than focusing on customer service. When requesting a change in the TV channel, the staff gave a negative reaction. Management should remind them that customers are the ones who ultimately pay their salaries.
The Waterloo has gone to the dogs . I can only describe it as mos eisley space port from Star Wars. The manager would rather go on holiday and a Good place for a snort if you know what I mean.
