Small restaurant, big crowd, very cozy. The server was so nice with a big smile. We got a small table and she saw us with quite some stuff and switched us to a bigger one.Food was awesome! Everything was tasty. We had three courses and expected a big bill but it wasn't the case at all. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
What XAvier Garrett doesn't like about Potpie:
The name says it all. You will be treated to a wonderfully flakey top crust that covers a bowl of chicken, or beef in a gravy with vegetables. There isn't a very large selection on the menu, but the place is called pot pie. View all feedback.
Can't go wrong with the pan-roasted chicken, which is always amazing.
This place was wonderful! It is so cozy inside and the staff was super friendly. Two things stood out to me as absolutely exceptional. The cocktails were very well done, we tried the tulip and the Tweed jacket and they were both delicious. And the chocolate chip bread pudding might be the best bread pudding I have ever had. I would go back a million times just for that.I did find the chicken pot pie to be a little bit bland, but that might be because I'm used to more flavors from other cuisines. I thought the puff pastry was delicious, if a little bit soft. The short rib was cooked beautifully in a bourguignon sauce and the potatoes au gratin were perfect.I would recommend anybody in the area try this place.

The scallops I had were on another level I didn't know existed. The service is French not Chillie's so get over it.
A small bit wonderful spot that's been in KC for years. Pot Pie provides one with that feeling of home and the salads are leagues above your standard ice burg lettuce you get at other places. This is a warm homie atmosphere devoid of the echoed sounds of a cafeteria to get in larger restaurants. This also means seating can be limited so make your reservation early and enjoy!Vegetarian options: Not necessarily vegan but yes there are vegetarian options.Parking: If you cannot find parking on the street there is a parking lot nestled in the back. However this parking also serves the restaurant next door. So you'll want to arrive a bit early to insure a parking spot.
