Description

La Caverna presents a tapestry of diner experiences, showcasing its charm and challenges. While many patrons delight in its quaint atmosphere, generous set menus, and attentive staff, others raise concerns regarding the quality and consistency of dishes. Some meals, particularly pasta and seafood, have disappointed, with accusations of unoriginal sourcing. Mixed reports on wine availability add to the inconsistency, though several guests appreciate the variety. While the restaurant's pricing is higher than neighboring options, supporters argue it offers valuable competition in a diverse culinary scene. Reservations are recommended for this intimate Italian eatery to ensure a favorable dining experience.

Very good menu and excellent worth when they have the 3 courses and coffee for £16.95 have very pleasant and attentive waitress. Small, only 10 tables, very quiet tonight(Thursday) but reservation essential at weekends

First time at La Caverna. Excellent restaurant. Meal was first class with impeccable service. Plenty of choice on either the set 4 course menu or the A La Carte menu. We shall certainly be visiting again. Would highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our time at the restaurant thanks to the attentive staff, delicious food, and the wonderful chef who went out of his way to prepare a special meal for my son. Overall, we had a fantastic two nights there.

This restaurant is definitely not worth going to. Half their food came from Tesco, especially the tiger bread. The prawns main was undercooked, their chips were evidently from Tesco. My pasta bolenaise tasted like a microwave meal. We booked a table for a big party and they asked us to leave by 8pm due to bookings but the restaurant wasn’t even busy... definitely not worth going to. A disapppintment.
