Was User at Edwards a mag?
I spent several hours at this museum that features a variety of buildings that were brought to this location for people to explore. In addition to the historic structures, the museum also houses a national collection of telephone boxes, which I found interesting. The staff was very helpful and friendly. View all feedback.

What Joshua Smith dislikes about Edwards:
A friend and I visited for lunch. (My friend had been before when it was under different Management. She also returned for a charity event, which she said the food wasn't brilliant and the service felt rushed We both had jacket potatoes and coffees, the...food was just okay and not cheap. We weren't made to feel very welcome, the lady behind the counter didn't believe in smiling! We both agreed we wouldn't return, bu... View all feedback.

Great place full of interesting buildings, which are stored in front of the abort and a nostalgic collection of telephone boxes. windmill is special. interesting book buy. nice little caffe.

Amazing! More than 30 buildings were saved from demolition, ranging from a simple privy to a large commercial building. This past weekend, the International Living History Festival took place with 30 exhibitors and over 20 stalls. Definitely worth a visit whenever it's open. Plus, free parking available.

The day we’ve just spent at this museum has left us wishing we lived nearer so we could visit more often or even volunteer. The staff are all friendly and the exhibits are well spaced out so it all looks attractive. We were particularly impressed by the display boards beside each building. These are set out in columns so that you can access different types of information about each one. Firstly there was a description of the previous owners/inhabitants; then the use to which the building had been put and lastly how and when it was moved. The last type of information often revealed how little time the rescuers had been allowed to complete operations. The refreshments are excellent and sandwiches can be packed into a container so that you can eat them anywhere on site. They use tasty ingredients and ours were made there and then! Wonderful idea. There are plenty of benches and tables dotted around to choose from so it saved us walking back and forth once we’d got to the bottom end of the site. We found it so interesting we spent 5 hours there which makes the entrance fee very good value for money. We would have liked the numbers of the premises displayed on the signposts to echo the numbers on the map. The lack of this didn’t detract much from our enjoyment and we congratulate all involved in the running of the museum.

This place is a hidden gem! The beautiful buildings have been amazingly preserved, and there are plenty of knowledgeable staff available to answer any questions. There are also information boards throughout the property. Today, there was a Medieval reenactment taking place, which was very interesting. It was fun chatting with everyone and watching a mock battle.

Really enjoyed visiting Avoncroft, spent a good few hours here was really interesting seeing the old buildings. Was disappointing that some of the buildings had been vandalised as we would of loved to look inside them. But overall still a great day out : also there was a play area for kids too which looked popular.
