You would think this little place would be much to check out it truly is delicious. We are from southern Illinois and as a child went there to get ice cream . I was so surprised to see they are still up and running strong. Delicious. View all feedback.

So, we made a special trip here just to eat at the diner again (like we did last year) I ly to be told this year we can't eat inside. Great food but if I wanted to eat outside I'd eat corn dogs and junk. Hopefully next year you will allow inside diners again View all feedback.
If you like home cooked comfort food that will remind you of dinner at Grandma’s at Easter, then the Bernadotte Café is the place to go! The servers are friendly and polite. Remember this is not fast food, so sit down relax and enjoy cause they don’t have cell service. Oh, cash or checks only please. Also save room for homemade pie or their strawberry shortcake.
Prime rib tender and tasty and cooked perfectly to order. Bloody Mary pretty good too!
Scenic venue next to rushing river, home cooking, friendly people. Great cycle off roading nearby
Went for scored Buffalo and wasn't disappointed. Very good white flesh fish , scored correctly, seasoned and fried right. Good sides, potato salad and baked beans. Quick and friendly Wait staff. Enjoyed our meal. Will go back again.
The staff is very courteous and the food is delicious!
