Contribute FeedbackIn our first night in berlin we were a bit lost and hungry and tired. nhat long, just around the corner of the air bnb we were in, glowed. we went in, the young man gave us a menu in English. we ordered and. our food was prepared so quickly. we accepted to eat home portions were generous, aromen were fresh and balanced. the rest of the next day were also welcome. it was so good that we went back the third day! our adult son in California thought we were crazy to have Vietnamese food in berlin (where is the court brew, he asked. we think they wouldn't be nuts to dinate at nhat long when in berlin.
We were looking for a long time to find something suitable for our taste open on Christmas day, so we were very happy to find nhat long. it is a bit thrown back in its style of food nothing wild, but quite okay. Limited options for...vegetarians
This restaurant deserves more patronage, but it is only on the friedrickstraße the main road to the city center so that is missed by many. it is close to the hotel adelante though, and if they stay there, it is good to go over...and give it a try. it offers Vietnamese and Thai as well as sushi. there is so much to offer that they find something that matches their taste. we had two beers that were both better than many others tried. the cost is also good, our bill was 45 euro for 2 starters, 2 net and 4 beers recommended.
Went there on our first evening while staying in a hotel nearby (the excellent Adelante). The food was good, although a bit uneven (e.g., the beef pho was undistinguished and bland while the papaya salad was very good). Service was fine and fluent in both...German and English. If I were to live in the nbhd I probably would go there once in a while, for tourists there are many other options nearby.
After looking for a place to eat with 4 in the neighbourhood (not always easy with a vegan and someone very sensitive to certain ingredients) we settled down here, across from where most other restaurants were, slightly more hidden from traffic, being behind a line...of shrubs. The menu was very varied and offered plenty to chose from for us all. We shared some vegi sushi as a starter, which looked and tasted great (we hardly ever had sushi). Our mains were salmon, shrimp, chicken and tofu dishes, each dressed up very nicely, tasting very good, while not being too much to finish, but certainly enough to be satisfied. We all had a few drinks and I had some fruit for desert, all summing up to only just over 60€. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful to us as we were struggling a little with the German language. The atmosphere of the place was very pleasant with typical Asian elements in a modern fashion. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to sit outside, but that is a possibility.
