After a long working day, the stomach crumbled. As so often, my business partners and I asked the question: “Where should we leave the working day to end”. We soon decided to take the Eiffel Restaurant in Kudamm, hoping to get a parking lot. The ambience impresses with its simplicity and a “clear” elegance. What disturbed me a little was the white paper blankets that lay over the white tablecloth for protection. Understand that the washing machine then has to work less, but for the price class you should do without the paper blankets. Overall, the restaurant is very well maintained. But now all the more important: for food. As a starter, a colleague ordered flame cake for all of us. Tastefully everything is fine. As main food, three of us chose the tuna. I prefer: Bravo, Bravissiomo. As easy to see on the photo, he was only slightly fried and also had the sushi quality on the menu. There were also Wasabi Potato Cream, Avocado and Sesame Chilisauce. Decorated with a piece of black rabbit bread. The tuna cannot taste better. Between a bit of bread and I like little butter. Unfortunately they were missing, so I ordered them at the very friendly and friendly service. Shortly afterwards she came: “My butter”. But oh horror – packed in golden foil, good, that didn't fit the big tuna. But the “butter number” was not over yet. It pulled out of the pack without touching it, so soft it was. Well, then I enjoyed the delicious bread (bread and two different, delicious and fresh black bread) without butter. That also motivates me not to forgive 5 stars. Sometimes it’s as small things as warm “small water” or flowing butter that I can’t understand in the upscale gastronomy. But continue with the pleasant things. The 4th partner ordered goat cheese with honey on olive-Focaccia. Rucola salad, tomato pedo and roasted pine nuts have been added. Very nice dressed, good dressing and tastefully fine tuned. At the neighboring table we also saw delicious desserts. Then we ordered them. Two of the “Crème brûlée” with Mandarinensorbet Parfait and Tarte from Nougatmit gelled blood orange fillets. Even the calories saved by the butter were enthusiastic about the high energy of desserts. Very nicely dressed, tastefully matched. Very good. It was a completely successful evening. We couldn't judge the wines because everyone had to drive by car. Only the well cooled bubble water with a lot, a bit and without bubbles. They all taste the same. Next time we take the S-Bahn to the Eiffel Tower and taste the wines.
Since I only ordered the food to take away, I cannot and will not make any statements about the service or ambience. I ordered the pumpkin cream soup and the Wiener Schnitzel from the lunch menu with potato salad for just over €20 The food was ready very quickly, even if the soup was forgotten the first time through. (However, I asked for them later so that the receipts in the kitchen might not have been recognized as being connected. The soup had a good consistency with a light coconut aroma and tasted good. There were also 3 slices of dark bistro baguette, which was positive because it wasn't cheap wheat bread. Small personal flaw, I was missing a few pumpkin seeds as a topping. Unfortunately I couldn't eat the schnitzel until it was cold (that was down to me and the work but it was still very good quality and it wasn't a cheap breading. The potato salad was also good, fresh and not a finished product. The schnitzels were a bit small but there were two pieces. The only thing I would have liked was a little more lemon, but that's a personal preference. The price-performance ratio is definitely right and I will definitely eat there again. The only criticism is that I would have actually liked to order something from the evening menu, but it only starts at 5 p.m.
I've been visiting the Eifel region for years and am always completely satisfied. The food is excellent, especially the eggs Benedict and the goose, but the service is also always first-class. Courteous, forward-thinking, and always with a smile! I will remain loyal to you and look forward to my next visit. See you soon.
