I can't speak much about the brewery itself since I spent the entire time outside enjoying the summer show. If there's an event featuring someone you like, I definitely recommend attending. They offer canned cocktails at the show, so non-beer drinkers have options. There are two stages and around four or five food trucks. They could have used a few more portable toilets outside, but there are additional restrooms inside the brewery if you're willing to wait in those lines.

What’s not to adore about a brewery that offers plenty of seating and a wide range of food choices? They even serve cider for those who enjoy going to breweries but prefer to avoid beer. There are lots of seating options available both inside and outside. The bartenders are friendly, and although we didn’t stay for the live music, we noticed preparations were underway. I also appreciate that there aren’t too many TVs around.

Since moving to Bend, I've always been a fan of Silver Moon. The recent interior remodel is quite impressive. However, ever since COVID and the subsequent period, I don’t feel as welcome inside as I once did. The food trucks are fantastic, and the patio is lovely, but I used to love going inside to grab a bite, enjoy some great beer, and listen to music. Has that welcoming atmosphere returned? I don’t visit as frequently anymore because it feels less inviting.

The back patio is fantastic, featuring ample shade, cozy fire pits, food trucks, and live music. The beer selection is also great.

After enjoying our drinks, my friends and I decided to try one of the outdoor food carts on the patio. Just as we were about to order, a large man wearing a "SECURITY" shirt informed us that the concert was ticketed and that we needed to leave because the band was starting at 5:30 PM. I explained that we planned to order food to take inside, but he insisted that wasn’t allowed. Frustrated, I went back inside to see if there was an alternative. When I asked the bartender why we couldn’t order food outside after being told earlier that we could, she just shrugged and said, “I don’t know anything, I just work here,” repeating it twice. At that point, I suggested to my friends that we head to Brothers Jon’s down the street instead. As we were leaving, a man who seemed like an off-duty employee approached us and started going on about how the food carts were separate businesses and that the band and security were independent as well. After a few minutes, I politely put my hand on his shoulder and said we just wanted some food and were leaving, but he kept talking. Eventually, we managed to get away and finally left. A friend wants to meet at Silver Moon next week, but I’ve already emailed him suggesting we go somewhere else.
