Barb's - Belington
Barb's
Description
Part diner, part neighborhood bar, this spot earns praise for scratch-made breads, pies and daily specials, friendly staff and affordable breakfast and lunch. Accessible parking and wheelchair-friendly seating make it an easy stop for travelers and regulars alike. Experiences vary: many applaud attentive service and a charming dining room, while others report inconsistent kitchen timing, long waits, uneven food quality and a sometimes-crowded, drama-filled bar. Worth trying for homemade comfort food, but expect occasional service or kitchen lapses.

Barb's serves some of the most delicious food around, and I always look forward to my meals there. She makes all the bread and rolls from scratch, and her homemade pies are exceptional! Don't miss the daily specials and make sure to try the fried bread; it's an absolute must! The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is tidy and well-maintained.
I truly love eating here; the food is fantastic! Don't miss out on the blackberry cobbler!
I can't speak to the taste of the food because I waited from 9:30 to 10:30 for breakfast and never got my order. It felt like the cook was prioritizing certain tables over others. We wasted our whole Saturday morning there. On a positive note, our waitress was fantastic, and I have no complaints about her service. However, the cook really needs to be replaced. We eventually went to another restaurant nearby, where we were served and finished in just twenty minutes.
Kid-friendly: A cozy atmosphere with families of all ages, from toddlers to centenarians.
If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, this restaurant might be for you. The bar tends to get quite crowded, which can be a bit overwhelming. There's definitely a lot of drama going on in both the dining area and the bar. As for dietary restrictions, I found their options to be satisfactory. Overall, while I appreciated certain aspects, it may not be to everyone's taste.
