Unfortunately, both the Potato skins and the c... read more Today I went to lunch with my boyfriend at this restaurant. I ordered two appetizers to share as our main course. Unfortunately, both the Potato skins and the chicken wings were served lukewarm. I had to send them back and wait an additional 10 to 15 minutes for my food to be returned. The sauce on the chicken was too spicy for my liking. My boyfriend had the Hunters Chicken, which he thought was just okay. Overall, I was not impressed and do not plan on returning to this restaurant. On a positive note, the wait staff were friendly and pleasant.

The... read more We visited this restaurant for an early dinner on a late Saturday afternoon. Despite the time, it was still very busy, a clear indication of its popularity. The food was delicious with very generous portions. The starters were a bit large and filling, especially the potato skins which could easily be a full meal when paired with another side. The beef ale pie had a lot of pastry, perhaps a smaller lid would have been better. The pub had a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, parking can be challenging so it would be best to minimize the number of cars if you are in a large group.
