I had the tapas mix and my wife had the cheeseburger. Portion sizes were a little on the small side for the prices we paid. Nothing overly wrong with the food, probably much the same quality as a standard pub or bar meal back in the UK.

We had just spent... read more My friends and I were traveling to Barcelona from New York and were not accostumed yet to the different hours restaurants were open in Spain. We had just spent the morning at the Ciutadella park and were starving and stopped by at Trole to eat. The owner said the kitchen was closed until 8 and the look on our faces must have shown we didn't know what to do. He offered to make us a paella for 3 out of the generosity of his heart. We were so appreciative and we absolutely loved the chicken paella and devoured every piece of it. We highly recommend this restaurant for the kindness of the owner and the quality of the food.
