My friends and I are vegetarian/vegan and with the few choices on the menu we ordered olives. We discovered that they were stuffed with anjovis after one bite. Asked if they contained fish, which ”yes of course they do”. I kindly asked if we could get patatas bravas or nachos instead and they all smiled, walked away and one of the employees said I’d have to pay for the replacement. Would recommend eating before or after your visit to the park instead of going here.

Opposite the Sagrada Familia, in the park, is this café/bar. Plenty of seating, reasonable pricing with a view to die for as you drink and eat. Directly opposite the more modern entrance to the Basilica. Couldn’t be better for a break from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona.

Afiparc is a food stand in Plaça de Sagrada Familia, the park opposite the passion facade of Sagrada Familia. It seemed fine to get a frozen fruit snack after our visit to Sagrada Familia. We sat on a nearby bench to eat which was pleasant enough. I probably wouldn’t order a lot more from here than some form of treat. Be aware of what denomination of cash you give them. Similar to some reviews I’ve read, we witnessed a patron arguing about the amount of change she received.

Avoid this place at all costs really. 1 star for the decent sandwich we got with my girlfriend. As for the actual scam: We thought we'd get one of those frappucinos since it was really hot and they looked pretty nice. We asked the for the price of the one we wanted. 4€ for a small cup. pricey but ok nevermind. The guy starts making them, talks to his colleague and comes back to us, price has gone up 1€50 for EACH. No particular reason. We think twice about it and say no thanks we'd like our money back, 8€ going up to 11€ for no reason when we asked the price beforehand. They refuse, they want us to pay. The woman starts arguing with my girlfriend saying we're dishonest. To top it all off, there are no prices on their products. We asked how much everything was. in case and WE'RE the dishonest ones..
