Uhhmm where do I start? I forgot what exactly we ordered, but we ordered steak, pasta and a fish dish. Quite pretentious about the "Gordon Ramsay" claim ... because the food we ordered was UGH or maybe it was Father's Day when we went ... but all in all ... ????

Bad-good-great-excellent Location: excellent Ambience: great Service: great Food: We have been here twice, the first time was disappointing but thought we would try again. We came back today for breakfast and ordered the full English breakfast. The menu said, disappointingly, there would be English sausage and beans. This included 2 hot dogs and probably canned pork and beans along with the other foods. It wasn't worth the money at all other than that the view was breathtaking. I think that's why we came back. Price: bad Toilet: worst

I've been to Sumulong for dinner several times, but recently visited DeMars. The hotel looks simple from the outside in, which is why I was surprised that the menu was on the higher end of the range. They also serve the usual free starters as in restaurants of the same concept: bread, garden salad and soup (malunggay). I haven't started my main courses yet, but I've been half full - in a good way as they're all fresh and tasty. I ordered Steak Ala Pie and Malunggay iced tea while my partner got the catch of the day (sea bass). Unfortunately I was brought the wrong dish (braised pork belly). I wanted to have it changed but thought the waiter might be charged for it so I decided to take it instead. To my surprise, the pork belly was a lovely accident - it's delicious, juicy, and melts in your mouth. Glad the waiter messed up my orders! The Malunggay iced tea was great too, I had to order another one. And to end my night, they even served us a free creme brulee as a thank you for the mix up. One of the best I've had in a while. Overall it was a pleasant dinner and I wouldn't worry about going back. The only comment I have is that they need to train their staff better because they also forgot to tell us that their credit card machine broke down at the last minute. Good thing we had cash. Could have given them a 4/5 if it hadn't been for these issues.

My family and I were thinking of a place to hold our celebratory dinner for my cousin who just graduated Cum Laude (of course, I had to mention that, ha It was a Friday and most of us were tired from work. We too just can’t take more of Manila traffic, thus we went against it and headed up towards Antipolo (a town relatively near our place). I haven’t heard of this place until last week and decided to give it a try. What’s weird though is that it’s a modern British European bistro grill but they serve Filipino dishes. It was breezy and the older folks in our family were craving for Pinoy food, so guess what? We ordered Bulalo! While I still don’t get why some restaurants are...read more

We went to a friend's wake early in the morning on a Saturday and got really hungry. We searched the internet and discovered that there's a restaurant nearby serving breakfast so we drove to Sumulong Highway to this Demars Restaurant. I have read good reviews on the internet so I had high expectations. My husband and I tried their Eggs Benedict which comes with free coffee. But since my husband is not a coffee drinker I asked the waiter if they can replace the coffee with hot chocolate and she said yes. After 20mins our hot chocolate came but when we tasted our hot chocolate, it was not hot chocolate but mocha with a strong coffee taste. I can tolerate that because I am a coffee drinker...read more
