We were not expecting nothing from this restaurant, we thought it's touristic - but we're very surprised - the food was good, the service friendly and the price reasonable.
Food was substantial but do not go if very busy as we had extremely long waits before and during meal. However the raclette was fun with the cheese serves between two hot elements so that it melted on to the potatoes which were served whole and kept warm on the top of the machine. Also came with cold meats. However had to wait an age for the starters to arrive, others had ordered off the set menu which was good value at € 20. Hearty salad for one and plate of meats for other. Then a long wait for the tartiflette and small fishes ( think very small whitebait) and chips. Then very nice puddings of apple tart and black currents and white cheese.Don't go when busy. Waiting staff working extremely hard but maitress d' was a tad rude
Great location by the little bridge, nice view of the village apartment by the river.
It is our fifth day in France and we found our favorite restaurant in France! We had Veal, Lasagna, and Duck. It was lunch time and the meal was outstanding! Service was fun, (my French language skills are non-existent), but they had an English menu! So far, between meals in Paris, Lyon, and Chamonix, L'ERIDAN in Annecy wins the prize of being our favorite! Too bad we depart France, or we would drive the 45 minutes to visit here again!
