This restaurant is quite disappointing. There is a strong unpleasant odor near the restrooms, which becomes even worse inside. Furthermore, the toilets are not working properly.
The odor was overwhelming, and the restrooms were so dirty that I can't imagine any justification for the poor cleanliness. I would suggest going to the Valero down the street instead.
The new owners of this restaurant are making a remarkable impact. The parking lot is tidy and secure, featuring a smooth surface for vehicles. The sheriff monitors the area at night to ensure everyone’s safety. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. You absolutely must try the food—everything is homemade, including the rolls. The owner takes great pride in his dishes. On Saturday mornings, they host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and the breakfast burritos are enormous! While they don't currently have DEF available at the pumps, the owner is working on it. As a Texan-owned and operated establishment, this restaurant is an ideal place to stay overnight before heading into the DFW area. As a trucker with 35 years of experience, I can confidently say this is one of the best mom-and-pop spots you'll find near a country store.
The restrooms were clean, and the couple who runs the restaurant were exceptionally kind and friendly.
