A family owned and operated business and a staple of alsip. For some reason..EVERYTHING is delicious. Soup is always on point and my kids say they have the best pop too. Kids 12 and under have meals for 5.35 you just don’t see reasonable prices like this anymore. I’ve been coming here since I was little they know me and my family. They always remember who you are. Sophie is the best server in Alsip and she deserves a... View all feedback.
What j o doesn't like about Pappas Lounge:
I used to come here years and years ago and they had a fantastic fried/broasted chicken dinner. Recently moved to the area and decided to try again. I went in once at night and the servers and staff just looked at us. Place not full but had some clients and it wasn’t closing time soon. After standing there for what seemed like an awkward 10 minutes and having staff glancing at us and walking by not saying anything we... View all feedback.
Pappas Restaurant in Alsip First time here! I decided to try their Country fried steak eggs (something I rarely indulge in) Meal came with a biscuit, Country fried steak, eggs hash browns. Unlike many places, the scrambled eggs were NOT sitting in a pile of butter. This was a huge plus! I’m pretty picky about my eggs. They were also piping hot. A big thing for me. Biscuit was good, CF Steak was good. The hash browns could have been warmer, but I also could have asked for them to be warmed so that’s on me. I never had to ask for my drink to be refilled. My bill was $14.30 (before tip) I definitely recommend this place for breakfast. The only other place I know where you can get a breakfast for under $10 is Cracker Barrel. I’d much rather support a local business! I will definitely be back. A friendly place. I received great service!
The waitress was awesome, the food was great! I gave it 4 stars because the bathrooms were dirty, the floors were sticky.
This was out first time eating here. Their cream of chicken rice soup was delicious. I had buttermilk pancakes and pan sausage that was pretty good. My guy had the steak omelet with potatoes and sunnyside eggs. He said it was delicious. The coffee was definitely good.
Typical Greek diner. Nice and warm people. The food deserves all the credit. They are fast and prices are very reasonable too. What else?!

I went in once at night and the servers and staff just looked at us. Place not full but had some clients and it wasn’t closing time soon. After standing there for what seemed like an awkward 10 minutes and having staff glancing at us and walking by not saying anything we left. We are a middle aged married couple, just looking for dinner, but we felt as if we walked in uninvited to someone’s private event. We never went back.
