Had lunch here. The food was good. Had a petty melt. It was good. The other people that we had lunch with liked their meals. The only problem I saying was somebody was in the kitchen smoking. I would prefer people not smoke around my foodOther than that's the staff was nice. Needs a little remodeling but I don't know it was fine View all feedback.
What Michelle Novak doesn't like about Nick's Southside Country Diner:
Incredible!!! Drove 30 mins. To get here and thought cute little nostalgic looking place on the outside but as soon as we walked in i could see cook sitting down smoking in the kitchenand then walks out coughs into shirt and his clothes just filthy so i instantly pace on eating totally turned off then someone from kitchen comes out and starts mopping floor with pinesol so strong it'll take your breath away! Nick's Southside Diner Has Closed Due to the passing away of Nick the owner a few months ago. It is unknown if it will be opened with new owners. RIP Nick
I have been going to this Diner since I was a boy. Even with biased aside, everytime I visit I'm politely greeted by a friendly staff. The restaurant has a atmosphere unique to Nick's. The facility is clean and the food is terrific. Service is timely and convenient. A wonderful joint, truly! I would recommend Nick's Southside Diner to anyone!

Our group of 4 adults and 4 children throughly enjoyed our lunch at Nick’s. Patty Melts, Biscuits Gravy and Gyros. The chicken dumpling soup was really good. Service and decor added to the super experience.
Just on a trip around Michigan, looking for a place to stop for lunch. Spotted this diner, once inside it reminded me of a 1950's diner, this included the decor. The staff was friendly, we sat at the counter that had stools like I remember in diners and ice cream shops. For $10 you get a drink, a cup of soup and a burger with fries. Everything was good, I had chicken soup with dumplings (excellent). Don't think you could beat this place for lunch or dinner (breakfast too).
