I decided to try this restaurant instead of my usual takeout for a change. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Despite spending nearly £80 on a meal for my whole family, the korma was cold and watery, and looked unappetizing. The hot paneer vegetable curry was supposed to be spicy, but it was actually mild and tasted like the generic vegetable curry sauce served with other dishes - not what I had ordered. It was clear that they thought I wouldn't notice the mistake, and I was very disappointed. I do not plan on giving this place another chance.
Additionally, I noticed that when I placed the same order online, it came to a total of £22.65. However, when I went to collect my order, I was charged nearly £24. This discrepancy was not a major issue for me initially, but coupled with the dismissive attitude I encountered over the phone, I am now really disappointed. Due to this negative experience, I will not be rushing back to Akash in the future.
I have been going to this Indian restaurant for years, but it has drastically declined in quality. The food tastes frozen, not fresh, yet the prices remain the same. I will be looking for a new place to eat.
The food is exceptional every single time. The staff is always polite and friendly, and the delivery is quick as well.
The best takeaway in Lancashire! The staff are very friendly, and I highly recommend it.
