Another one of those days when your mind drifts to your favorite food?! Whether pizza, pasta or gyros, sometimes you just need a positive endorphin boost by eating soul food dishes. Soulfood - again such a new German word, but actually not at all wrong. After all, it has been scientifically proven that food makes you happy. Even more so when it's your favorite food. But back to the topic...

Fortunately, today is even Friday, which means the weekend calls - but the favorite Italian just closed. So I guess that means: get ready for the ride, we're off. But not just to the next town. That would be boring! How about a road trip to the best Pizzeria in the state or even in the republic? With the best friends and the partners in the luggage the journey can start. The only question is whose car should be used for the trip.

In summer, of course, it's obvious: a convertible, at least for some of the hungry pack. With the roof down, the warm air around your ears, your hair tousled. But all that doesn't matter once you have the fragrant pizza in front of you or even the wonderfully huge sundae. When choosing the right vehicle, it is important to consider not only the weather - in the case of rain it is better to have a closed roof, in snow, wind and weather it is possibly better to have a vehicle with a permanently closed body - but also the question of parking capacity and accessibility on site. Depending on the location, the choice of a 4x4 or a higher vehicle may well be necessary here. If the parking spaces are easily accessible but narrowly built, you are better off with a small car and do not have to compete with the others before and after dinner.

For users of electric vehicles, it is advisable to find out in advance whether there are charging stations at the destination. Depending on their location, you may need to make a short stop along the way.

If you want to make a stop in between instead of eating at the destination, the choice of the right car is all the more important. If you are more of a mountain person and would like to enjoy the view while nibbling on the salami roll from the picnic basket you brought with you, the choice here is an all-terrain vehicle so that even the last part of the way can be covered comfortably and without pushing.

Depending on your comfort, a large trunk for sitting comfortably on the edge or a cargo area is also good. If the road trip with the subsequent picnic takes you rather to the sea - whether Baltic or North Sea, the small quarry pond around the corner or even to one or the other beautiful lake in the middle of the republic, the normal station wagon is enough if you want to stay on the edge of the trunk. If you prefer to spread your blanket on the ground, the trunk should only be large enough to transport the supplies.

The choice of picnic supplies, of course, also - varies depending on the location. For the cold little things are suitable at the picnic site any salads, sandwiches, fruit, vegetables or even just small nibbles. If it is to be something warm, it must be checked beforehand whether it is allowed to grill on site. Especially near forests or at mountains - also surrounded by forests - and also on some parking lots the use of open fire or also grills is partly forbidden. However, if it is allowed, there is nothing to stop the fresh roast from the grilled sausages to cooking on the camping stove and just about all dishes can be prepared, warmed up and consumed at the place of choice.
